Lou Piniella

After Dusty Baker was not rehired after the 2006 season, the Cubs had 2 main choices to replace him. One was a young former manager who lead his team to a surprising record in his one and only year managing. The other was a veteran manager who had previously won a World Series. The Cubs went with the latter and have not been disappointed. This manager was Lou Piniella. He led the Cubs to the playoffs in his 1st 2 years as the Cubs manager. Here is a picture I took of Lou during the Cubs/Sox series in June of 2008.
